Kitchen Garden is coming closer

Hey all,

A member of the Kitchen Garden Club died last week. Of course this is very sad for those she left behind and my sympathies are with them. BUT…… on a rather selfish note, this might be my chance to get a Kitchen Garden Plot. Is that selfish? Yes, is that life? Yes, it certainly is.

Of course it will take some time before the family has decided if they want to keep the plot for themselves (that is possible) or if they want to give up the plot, so until they have made a decision, all I can do is wait. I am selfish enough to hope that they’ll make a decision soon and that their decision will leave me with a Kitchen Garden Plot.

Well, see ya all later!

Finally news about Kitchen Garden

Hey all,

Well, I decided to call the Kitchen Garden club in our neighborhood myself, since I hadn’t heard anything from since September 19th. And guess what? Monday someone’s coming over with a plan from the gardens and then I’ll hear more. With a bit of luck one of the next two gardens that will come available is for me! I’m really looking forward to it!

So…. This means I’m on the hunt for supplies for my Kitchen Garden! It will be a garden of 100 Square meters, so I can plant a lot of vegetables, salads and fruit! But that’s not all I need to think about. I’ll also need to decide on a plan for my Kitchen Garden. I do have a plan, but I need to see if it will fit the garden that I’ll get. And if it’s sufficient for everything I’d like to grow in the garden. And last but not least….. I need to save up on money to be able to buy everything I need.

Hmmmm….. I think I’m going to make a wish list and a shopping list. Let’s see what I can find!

Have fun everyone! And let me know how your Kitchen Garden is doing!

Placed on waiting list for a kitchen garden!

Hey all,

Well, after much consideration I’ve finally done it! Today I’ve placed myself on a waiting list for a kitchen garden with the Kitchen Garden Club nearby. If all goes well, I can have a Kitchen Garden at the beginning of next year. It will be a garden of 100 m2 and it will cost me about €50,- so that’s rather cheap!

I already know that I’m going to use the Lasagna Gardening system, which, if I do it correctly, will save me time. The next step to do now is find places where I can all the basics I need for the layering system. Once I’ve got that complete, I’m going to have a look into what I want in my garden. I have a rough idea (fruits and vegetables we already buy), but I also want to have a closer look at what’s out there.

At the moment I have to leave you with this. I wish everyone a very good weekend!
